For providers

Become a P1 Certified Provider in your market

P1 partners with established security and executive protection companies in each market it serves. Your company supplies vetted drivers and vehicles; P1 supplies clients who pay in advance, the operating standard and training, the technology and vehicle equipment, and fast payment, with invoicing handled in the P1 app.

Why operators join

What working with P1 means for your company

Established operators commit their best people to work that is well organized and promptly paid. P1 is designed around both: your rate card is agreed in advance, every offer shows exactly what it pays before you accept, and approved work is paid fast.

No client invoicing or collections

P1 clients fund their accounts before they travel, and P1 pays your company directly. You never invoice a client or follow up on a receivable.

Your pay is shown on every offer

Each offer states exactly what P1 pays under your rate card, so you know the value of the work before you accept it. The hours billed to the client are the hours you are paid.

Fast payment, invoiced through the P1 app

The P1 app prepares the invoice for each completed movement from your rate card and the hours billed. You review it in the app, and approved work is paid quickly by Stripe Connect or ACH, with a statement for every payment.

Equipment and a managed device for each vehicle

Each certified vehicle receives a managed P1 device and the standard equipment set: an AED, a professional trauma kit, secure Wi-Fi equipment suited to the market, and the Principal Kit.

Training in the P1 Operating Standards

Your personnel complete the Operating Standards training online, followed by a supervised checkride, and repeat both every year so the service is delivered the same way in every market.

Your company stays independent within a national network

Clients choose P1 for a consistent standard wherever they travel. Your company remains the local operator and keeps its own business, personnel, and vehicles.

Offers and assignments

How work is offered, staffed, and accepted

P1 offers work by the movement, meaning one scheduled trip from pickup to final drop-off, including any stops. Each offer arrives by SMS and email with a link to the provider portal, and it shows the date and time, a summary of the movement, its requirements, and exactly what P1 pays. Addresses and principal details follow with the assignment and the Movement Brief, and they go only to the people who need them.

  1. 01

    The offer

You receive an SMS and an email linking to the offer in the provider portal, which shows when and where the movement takes place, what it requires, and what it pays under your rate card.

  2. 02

    Eligibility check

You propose a driver and a vehicle from your certified roster. Before you commit, the platform checks credentials, market familiarity, and schedule conflicts, allowing buffer time between assignments.

  3. 03

    Acceptance

Accepting commits the driver and the vehicle to the movement. If you cannot take the work, decline with a reason so that operations can offer it to another provider at once.

  4. 04

    Briefing and delivery

The Movement Brief is sent to the managed device in the vehicle. Your driver acknowledges it, completes the readiness check, and carries out the movement with the support of the P1 operations center, which monitors every movement 24/7.

How payment works

Fast payment, with invoicing handled in the P1 app

For a routine movement there is nothing to write up. The P1 app prepares your invoice as soon as the movement settles, asks you to confirm each line the following morning, and approved work is paid quickly.

  1. When the movement settles

The P1 app prepares your invoice

As soon as a movement settles, the P1 app prepares your invoice from your rate card and the hours billed, so there is nothing for you to write up.

  2. 09:00 the next morning, your time

One message lists the previous day's work

The message arrives by email and SMS, lists the previous day's settled movements line by line, and includes a signed link for reviewing them without a login.

  3. Within 3 days

You confirm or dispute each line

A disputed line goes to P1 finance, who resolve it and tell you the outcome. Any line you leave untouched is approved automatically after 3 days.

  4. After approval

    Approved work is paid fast

Approved lines are paid by Stripe Connect transfer or ACH, with a statement and a payment reference for every payment.

The standard

Three certifications cover the company, each driver, and each vehicle

P1 certifies your company, each person you put forward, and each vehicle individually, against one written standard that applies in every market. Credentials and documents are kept in your roster, expiries are flagged 60 days in advance, and nothing with an expired credential can be assigned.

01
The company

Certified Provider

The company must be an established operator with the operating authority, insurance, and management to deliver the standard consistently.

  • Licensing and operating authority for your market, including airport permits and FBO access where required
  • Insurance verified by policy type, including additional-insured status
  • A signed Provider Agreement covering the standard, confidentiality and data handling, incident reporting, and audit rights
  • A background review of the company's ownership
  • A dispatcher trained on the provider portal
Performance is reviewed on a monthly scorecard, and the company is recertified every year.
02
Each person

Certified Driver

Each driver is a security professional whose background, training, and credentials are verified individually.

  • A clean motor vehicle record and national, county, sex offender, and watchlist background checks, renewed every year
  • A 10-panel drug screen every year, with random testing
  • 3 years of professional driving, or 2 years of protective, law enforcement, or military service together with a security-driving course
  • CPR/AED and bleeding-control training at TECC or TCCC level, renewed every 2 years
  • Defensive driving and a recognized protective-driving course, renewed every 3 years
  • Executive protection fundamentals from a recognized academy or a law enforcement dignitary protection program
  • 2 professional references, a signed NDA, and agreement to the Code of Conduct

Armed work is assigned only where lawful and appropriately licensed, with licensing recorded for each jurisdiction.

Operating Standards training and a supervised checkride are completed every year.
03
Each vehicle

Certified Vehicle

A late-model luxury SUV chosen to blend in, documented and equipped to the same specification in every market.

  • An approved full-size or luxury SUV, such as a Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon XL, Chevrolet Suburban, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7, Range Rover, or Lexus LX
  • No older than three model years, with under 80,000 miles
  • A discreet color such as gray, silver, white, deep blue, or black, with no livery, signage, or name boards
  • Current registration, insurance that lists the VIN, inspection, and commercial authority where required
  • 6 exterior photographs and an interior photograph, refreshed every year
  • Secure, dedicated Wi-Fi for the principal (Starlink, a cellular booster, or a dedicated 4G/5G router, depending on the market), never the vehicle's built-in hotspot
  • The standard equipment layout and a managed P1 device, enrolled and bound to the vehicle
Each vehicle is inspected at certification, every year after that, and again after any incident or bodywork.
Insurance

Each required insurance policy is verified separately

A P1 movement combines two distinct exposures, passenger transportation and protective services, so P1 verifies each policy type on its own rather than accepting a single general certificate. Minimum limits and additional-insured status are set in the Provider Agreement.

Commercial or livery auto liability
Required for every vehicle used for movements
Hired and non-owned auto
Required for rental or leased vehicles, with the carrier's acknowledgment of passenger and security use

Firearms liability, with assault and battery
Required of providers supplying armed personnel where lawful and appropriately licensed, with no firearms exclusion
Errors and omissions

Supplied by P1

Every certified vehicle is equipped to the same specification

When a vehicle is certified, it receives a managed P1 device and the standard equipment set, installed in the same layout in every vehicle, so any certified driver can find every item in any certified vehicle.

  • A managed P1 device

A Samsung phone bound to the vehicle, never the driver's own phone. It carries the Movement Brief, the readiness check, live status, and the SOS function.

  • AED and professional trauma kit

The trauma kit includes tourniquets, pressure dressings, chest seals, and hemostatic gauze, and every expiry date is tracked.

  • Secure Wi-Fi for the principal

A dedicated, secure Wi-Fi connection kept separate from the vehicle's built-in hotspot. Depending on the market, it runs on Starlink, a cellular booster, or a dedicated 4G/5G router.

  • The Principal Kit

A separate case of personal essentials, stocked to each principal's preferences before the movement begins.

The device and equipment are supplied by P1 under the Provider Agreement, and seals, expiry dates, and restocking are tracked in the platform.

Markets where P1 is recruiting providers

Provider questions

Common questions from prospective providers

For anything not covered here, write to ops@p1driven.com.

Quickly. When a movement settles, the P1 app prepares the invoice from your rate card and the hours billed. You confirm it from the message you receive the next morning, or it is approved automatically after 3 days, and approved work is then paid by Stripe Connect transfer or ACH, with a statement and a payment reference.

Offers arrive by SMS and email, each with a link to the provider portal. Every offer shows the date, time, movement details, requirements, and exactly what P1 pays, all before you accept. You propose a driver and a vehicle from your certified roster, the platform confirms that both are eligible, and you then accept the offer or decline it with a reason.

Dispute it from the same link and add a note explaining the difference, such as an extra stop, wait time, tolls, or the hours. The line goes to P1 finance, who resolve it and tell you the outcome. Lines you do not dispute are approved automatically after 3 days, so payment is never held up waiting for a reply.

Only with verified hired-auto coverage for passenger and security use, documented before any assignment together with the rental agreement and the carrier's acknowledgment. Because a security policy is not an auto policy, the platform will not assign a rental vehicle until that coverage has been verified.

Armed work is assigned only where it is lawful and appropriately licensed. State licenses and endorsements, company licensing where required, annual firearms qualification, and a use-of-force acknowledgment are recorded for each jurisdiction. LEOSA credentials are recorded as well, but they do not replace state licensing for armed security work. Where armed work is not lawful or not licensed, the assignment is delivered by a security-trained driver without armed capability, and the client is told at booking.

Each certified vehicle receives a managed P1 device, which is a Samsung Android phone bound to the vehicle and never a driver's own phone, along with the standard equipment set: an AED, a professional trauma kit, secure Wi-Fi for the principal (Starlink, a cellular booster, or a dedicated 4G/5G router, depending on the market), and the Principal Kit, installed in a standardized layout. The terms for the device and equipment are set in the Provider Agreement.

Your company, each person, and each vehicle are certified separately. Each person's credentials are verified individually, after which they complete the Operating Standards training and a supervised checkride. Vehicles are inspected, photographed, equipped, and bound to a device; the inspection is in person in launch markets, and elsewhere it is done by video walkthrough with an in-person check at the first audit. Credentials that expire within 60 days are flagged in your roster, and a person or vehicle with an expired credential cannot be assigned until the credential is renewed.

Eligibility comes first: the driver must hold current credentials, be approved for the market, and have no schedule conflicts. Among eligible drivers, the traveler's preferred drivers are considered first, followed by highly rated drivers who have served the account before, and then the drivers most familiar with every stop, ranked by scorecard and then by proximity. A driver who is new to an area completes a Movement Review before the assignment. Scorecards reflect on-time staging, acknowledgments, readiness checks, and client ratings.
